Futureproofing Het Nieuwsblad with a new mobile app

Mediahuis, the media group behind Het Nieuwsblad, wanted to futureproof their app. The existing Xamarin platform was reaching its limits, while a new generation of users expected speed, simplicity, and stability.

In close collaboration with the Mediahuis Technology & Product Studio team, RMDY built an entirely new native app platform, now powering the latest version of the Het Nieuwsblad app. Our mobile developer focused on iOS, creating high-performing article components. Thanks to the new native platform, Mediahuis can now migrate other brands more easily in the future. Continuous improvement is key: based on user feedback, we keep fine-tuning to make every Mediahuis app perform better than ever. The app also received a fresh design and a streamlined menu for a faster, more intuitive user experience.
